LAYER series
1. Embellish an aluminum plate using traditional Japanese metal engraving techniques.
2. Take a photo of the pattern, digitize it, and process it with photoshop.
3. Print the digital data on an aluminum composite panel.
Steps 1, 2, and 3 are then repeated; engrave the pattern on the printed board, take a photo of the pattern, digitize it, photoshop, print it again, and then engrave the pattern once again… As this process continues (switching back and forth between the physical and the digital), the appearance of the work changes gradually. This is a lifetime project in which I continue to increase the number of layers.
①日本の伝統的な彫金技法を使用してアルミ板を装飾。
②その模様を写真撮影し、デジタルデータ化してPhotoshopで加工。
③そのデジタルデータをアルミ複合板に印刷。
そして①から③の工程を繰り返す。印刷した板に再度模様を彫り、再度写真撮影し、再度デジタル加工し、再度印刷し、再再度模様を彫り…。この工程が継続していくこと（フィジカルとデジタル間の行き来）で作品の見え方が 少しずつ変化していく。この作品は生涯をかけてレイヤー数を増やしていく長期的なプロジェクトである。
